A home holds how you actually live. We are a family-owned firm rooted in Bellingham, building custom homes since 2005.

Building with local expertise

We design each home around the people who will live in it, not a standard plan. Our work is in Bellingham because we live here: we know the hillsides, the weather, the permitting office, and the trades.

Every project is run by one of the three of us. You will not be handed to a project manager you have never met.

    The Burlinson brothers started working in homebuilding.

  2. 2005

    RJM Development launched, bringing the brothers’ design and building experience together under one name.

  3. 2020

    RJM added sustainable building practices, including systems that improve a home’s energy efficiency.

  4. 2023

    RJM Development is still run by the three brothers, from the same Bellingham office.
